Microsoft Fabric
Microsoft Fabric brings data engineering, data warehousing, data science, and Power BI together in one SaaS platform built on OneLake. This course takes you from your first Fabric workspace to production-ready Lakehouses, Data Factory pipelines, and Direct Lake semantic models so your organization can replace fragmented ETL tools with a single governed analytics foundation.

Prerequisites
Working knowledge of Power BI or SQL is recommended. No prior Fabric or Spark experience required.
- 01Power BI developers moving to Fabric
- 02Data analysts and BI teams
- 03Data engineers and IT architects evaluating Fabric
- 04Managers planning a modern data platform
01What is Microsoft Fabric and how is it different from Power BI?
Power BI is the reporting and visualization layer. Microsoft Fabric is the full analytics platform underneath it, combining data engineering, data integration, data warehousing, real-time analytics, and data science on one storage layer called OneLake. Power BI is one of the Fabric experiences.
02Do I need a Fabric capacity to take this course?
We provide a training environment for hands-on labs, so you do not need your own capacity. If your organization has a Fabric trial or F-SKU capacity, we can run the labs in your tenant instead.
03Is Microsoft Fabric training available online?
Yes. All sessions are delivered live via virtual classroom, so you can join from anywhere in Canada or internationally. On-site training is also available for teams in Ottawa and Ontario.
04Do I need to know Python or Spark?
No. Notebooks are introduced at the Intermediate level with guided PySpark and Spark SQL examples. The Fundamental level is entirely low-code using Dataflows Gen2 and pipelines.
05Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. Upon completing each level, you receive a GrowWM certificate of completion. The course also prepares you for the Microsoft DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer) exam topics.
06Can this Fabric course be customized for my team?
Yes. We tailor the labs to your data sources and architecture decisions, whether you are migrating from Synapse, Azure Data Factory, or on-premises SQL Server. Contact us for group rates.
